Pages twenty two and twenty three of the Revised Edition of 'An Account of the Wicksteed Park & Trust Booklet' page twenty two details the trustees concern for accommodation for visitors on rainy days, with plans to build an Entertainment Hall after the War, the planting of trees to provide shade, the range of visitors coming to the park from locations such as Doncaster, Yarmouth, Derby, Nuneaton, St Albans and Aylesbury, the military use of the Pavilion in World War II ("1939-45 War") and how the park remained open to the public in this time with "Holiday-at-home" weeks and dances hosted at the park.
